Dates and facts
The company’s headquarter is in Augsburg (Germany), further offices are located in Moers (both Germany), Milan (Italy), Madrid (Spain) and Lyon (France). Its sister company meteocontrol North America was set up in 2010 for the North American market. About 100 employees now work at these sites. meteocontrol has been a 100% subsidiary of S.A.G. Solarstrom AG, Freiburg since 2002.

The construction and operation of solar systems relies on high investments. The competence and experience of independent experts are indispensable in securing these investments and minimizing risks. An extensive range of services enables implementations and allows meteocontrol to ensure proper and planned commissioning for large scale projects. meteocontrol is a contact partner for investors, banks, insurance companies, utility companies, trade and industry.

Competence for energy and weather
meteocontrol can draw on the most modern information technology and years of experience in monitoring regenerative systems: 33,000 solar systems with a total power of over 7,5 GWp are currently monitored. In the segment of professionally monitored systems meteocontrol is a global market leader. Through constant technical development the meteocontrol’s product portfolio now offers monitoring solutions for every operation size – from private systems through to solar power plants. The recording and analysis of highly valid solarization data from satellite measurements enables precise energy forecasts for PV systems. These solar power forecasts allow energy suppliers and network operators to precisely plan their network loads and solar share of the energy mix.

Quality assurance and social responsibility
meteocontrol’s quality management system has been certified in acc. with DIN EN ISO 9001 since 2009. The system is an effective management tool for continuously and consistently optimizing the workflows in the company. At the same time the environmental management system was set up and implemented in acc. with DIN EN ISO 14001, in order to connect economic success with environmental protection and social responsibility. A team of highly qualified and motivated employees is on board to fully implement the company’s management systems and achieve the best possible work results.
