Meva Energy - Combined Heat and Power (CHP) System

Wood derived residues have been proven to work well in Meva Energy's gasification technology. Also engineered wood residues, such as dust from MDF and chipboard processing, which is contaminated with glue. The fine fraction glue contaminated furniture production waste is often  difficule to recycle. It is often disregarded as a source of energy as it would result in enhanced emissions. Due to the low levels of oxygen in Meva Energys gasification technology, the nitrogen oxides can be kept very low and convert the solid nitrogen in to harmless nitrogen gas.

Meva Energy - Renewable Gas Producing Plant

Meva Energy´s renewable gas producing plant will be replacing fossil gas consumption at Sofidel’s tissue mill in Kisa, Sweden. Switching to renewable Meva gas, it is estimated that the mill will reduce its CO2 emissions by 8,500 tons per year compared with the carbon footprint of today’s consumption of fossil LPG. By utilizing the generated biochar, a total of 10,300 tons of Co2 can be reduced. The fossil fuel free new plant is schedule to start up in the second quarter of 2023 with fuel locally produced out of wooden pellets.

Meva Energy - Gasification Unit

Meva Energy will start build a gasification unit at IKEA industry's furniture production unit in Poland. By using IKEA's residues generated from their furniture production, we can transform it into renewable power and heat which will be supplied back to the factory. This will create a circular energy system for the production site. Taking care of the low value residues of the production will reduce costs and also the CO2 impact, up to 20,000 tons per year.
