Starting from December 2014, MJ2 Technologies made the strategic choice to internally create the Operation&Maintenance Service. Such service was created with the aim of supporting our customers within the use of their turbines and generators.

Obviously, the harnessing of very low heads is only possible when there exists a hydraulic diversion infrastructure creating the potential head. However, even in this case, their profitability comes up against the following facts.

Only when we convinced ourselves of being able to reach the economic goals, making the harnessing of very low head sites attractive, had the decision to venture into the VLH project been made. The decision criteria are based on a ratio between the amount of the global investment and the estimated turnover of hydroelectric power plants. The considered costs include provisions for preliminary studies, land and civil engineering construction costs. In terms of electromechanical equipments (turbo-generator unit and associated electric equipments), this goal turns to be an investment to annual turnover ratio between 5 to 7 for all the equipments.
