Riding on the steady growth in the global wind power industry, W-Power (formerly known as CWEE) has gained traction in the trade. The exhibition provides a comprehensive sourcing platform with an extensive range of products including wind turbines, offshore wind energy equipment, accessories and technology, wind farm management system and other equipment. The global wind power industry continues to expand as the world places more emphasis in clean and green energy. According to the World Wind Energy Association, the market volume for new wind capacity in 2014 was 40% more than in 2013. Of which, the top twelve countries - including China , Germany and United States – installed a total of 44.8 gigawatt (GW) of new wind power plants, setting new national records.
One of the largest and most influential trade shows in the electric power industry, E-Power covers all aspects of the power industry chain, including power transmission and distribution, smart grid, power equipment and generating sets, and electrical accessories. In 2015, China’s National Energy Administration Bureau unveiled a national strategic development plan for smart grid usage for the next five years. The plan outlines how the country intends to build a safe and reliable smart grid system that is also efficient and environmentally friendly. Its goal is to form a competitive smart grid system to fulfill growing demands as well as to encourage the development of emerging industries.
C-Power is launched as a nod to the growing interest in the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry. According to the China Automobile Manufacturers Association, 34,440 NEV were produced during the first quarter of 2015, three times more compared to the same period in 2014. Various national policies are implemented to further push the growth of electric automobile market in China. In its current five-year plan, the Chinese government aims to increase the ownership of battery-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric vehicles to five million by 2020. In July 2014, a mandate was announced that at least 30% of government-owned vehicles are to be electric, plug-in or hybrid.

The expo expects to span across 46,000 square metres, featuring 560 exhibitors from over 40 countries and attracting some 31,000 visitors and buyers.
Launched in 2012, D-Energy provides a quality platform on technologies and equipment for distributed energy industry companies. Due to the escalating issue of environmental pollution, there is an urgent need in China to provide clean and green distributed energy. It was announced in March 2015 China’s goal to construct some 1,000 natural gas distributed energy points as well as over 10 distributed energy model regions. By 2020, China aims to increase the installed capacity to 50 GW, thus promoting the implementation of distributed energy systems.
