Hot water pipes and heat exchangers without calcification. In an 850 MW coal power plant large heat exchangers were protected from calcification by using PWI. The tubes in the heat exchanger were free of lime scale during the inspections; only at the cover on the front there was loose lime due to the lack of local water flow.
