NucFil - Nucfil Drum Vent Filters

NFT specializes in drum vents for hydrogen mitigation in nuclear material and waste containers. Our filter vents are specific to a variety of customers and project needs. Whether a client needs a typical threaded configuration for a 55-gallon drum or a fully integrated filter welded into a container lid, our engineers work closely with each customer to fully customize the filter vent best-suited for them.

NFT - Shipping Containers

NFT specializes in manufacturing Type B packaging required for the transportation of all radioactive materials across U.S. highways. A Type B package design must not only demonstrate its ability to withstand tests simulating normal shipping conditions, but it must also withstand severe accident condition without releasing its contents. Our quality and assurance systems enable the safe design and development of these containers.

NFT - Drum Venting Systems

Since the beginning of the movement to decommission, transport and store DOE’s transuranic waste at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) in Carlsbad, New Mexico, NFTTM has developed solutions to the most difficult waste challenges each laboratory has faced. Specifically, many of the drums due to ship across our nation’s highways had high amounts of flammable gasses that needed to be measured, characterized and mitigated, which required a solution.
