The materials for DYGRF mechanical seals are mainly silicon carbide/sic as the rotary seal faces and silicon carbide/sic as the mating rings with some kind of o-rings. retainers and metal bushes need to be welded together and spring seats and bushes too, so mechanical seals should be tested by a core rod or a plug to see if the inside diameter of mechanical seals are OK.

The sintering method of silicon carbide/sic seal faces/rings:isostatic pressing is simplified as follows:at a high pressure(200 Mpa)made by the inert gases or nitrogen in a sealed container and at a high temperature(at least 1000),silicon carbide is pressed uniformly and evenly in all directions and the density of silicon carbide/sic seal faces/rings is much better with better homegeneity and performance than other methods.
