Pilkington Optifloat™ Tint is a range of uncoated body-tinted solar control glasses, with low light reflection and high energy absorption. The glasses come in different colours: Green, Blue-Green, Bronze and Grey. The products are particularly suitable for applications that demand solar control without the use of surface coating, for residential or commercial applications. To achieve thermal insulation, the products have to be combined with a low-emissivity glass in an insulating glass unit. Pilkington Optifloat™ Tint can be used for visual appeal, to reduce glare or where a degree of solar control performance is required. It may be used for exterior and interior applications. The range of thicknesses available enable glass to be used where superior strength, greater spans, reduced deflection, higher daylight transmission and enhanced noise suppression are required. Pilkington Optifloat™ Tint can be toughened or laminated or used in Insulating Glass Units.

To achieve thermal insulation, the products have to be combined with a low-emissivity glass in an insulating glass unit.

Choosing Pilkington Optifloat™ Clear gives the assurance for exceptional quality.  It can be used in wide variety of applications, representing a functional and stylish alternative to solid building materials. When used in the exterior and interior of buildings it brings light and space to surroundings in the home or office. In thicknesses above 6 mm, it can be used for a variety of commercial applications where superior strength, greater spans, reduced deflection, high daylight transmission and noise reduction are required. Pilkington Optifloat™ Clear can be toughened or laminated for impact safety and security. Standard available sizes: jumbo size 6000 x 3210 mm, LES size 3210 x 2550 mm.

Pilkington Energy Advantage™ is a pyrolitically on-line coated low-emissivity glass. It offers substantial improvement on thermal insulation when compared to clear float glass.  It is also characterised by high solar heat gain, which means that as well as retaining heating warmth in a room, it allows high level of solar energy to enter, for warmer and brighter interiors in sunny spells, and reduced heating and lighting costs. Extremely versatile, it is recommended for new buildings and renovations/modernisations where high solar heat gain is beneficial.
