The OrionLX+ adds new power and flexibility for larger, more challenging applications, plus features to simplify usage and reduce costs of ownership. As a member of the Orion family, the OrionLX+ shares the same operating system and configuration techniques of the other Orions: OrionSX, OrionMX, OrionLXm, and Orion I/O. Configurations from other Orions can run in the OrionLX+, and the same serial communication cards can be used in both the OrionLX CPX and OrionLX+. Capabilities include hot swappable power supplies, expanded networking options, higher “Direct Video” performance, expanded application support, and significantly more power.

Introducing the OrionSX, the latest model in the Orion family. The OrionSX brings a combination of power and small size into applications for serving out large amounts of data and serving out a distributed Orion Direct Video HMI. Just like all Orions, the OrionSX is equipped with OrionOS™ ensuring across-the-line compatibility in firmware, software, protocols, and configuration. The OrionSX is an OrionLX+ in a smaller package. The CPU and memory are identical; the only difference is in the communication ports and I/O expandability. Eliminating serial expansion ports, Ethernet expansion ports, and I/O results in a package that is only one-quarter the volume. This means lower costs everywhere in your design. Mounting flexibility is a key feature in the OrionSX. The universal mounting brackets offer mounting on horizontal lower surfaces, front vertical surfaces, top horizontal surfaces, or rear vertical surfaces. DIN rail and 19” rack mounting are also available.

NovaTech Orion I/O™ is an extension of the family of Orion Automation Platforms for substation automation and incorporates the same security features, software tools, and NCD configuration as the OrionLX+, OrionLXm, OrionMX, and OrionSX. It is a rack, panel, or DIN rail mountable assembly with four slots that can be filled with any combination of I/O cards, currently:

The OrionMX is the smallest member of the Orion family of automation platforms. It is designed for applications in smaller distribution substations, pole top, and vaults. It is also designed for OEM applications, protocol conversion, and general infrastructure monitoring.

The OrionLXm is a physically smaller OrionLX™ designed for applications requiring fewer connections and less space; typically smaller distribution substations and OEM and pole-top RTU applications.
