Perovskite Solar Research Services
Oxford PV has developed cutting-edge tandem solar cells that integrate perovskite and silicon technologies to achieve world-record efficiencies. These prototype cells have successfully undergone stringent tests for high humidity and temperature, adhering to the rigorous standards used by photovoltaic manufacturers to certify their products. Compared to traditional silicon heterojunction modules, modules incorporating Oxford PV's tandem cells are designed to have a lower environmental impact over a 25-year operational lifespan. With exclusive access to foundational intellectual property from Professor Snaith's lab at Oxford University and a robust patent portfolio, Oxford PV is spearheading a collaborative, government-funded, five-year research initiative to create thin-film multi-junction perovskite solar cells aimed at reaching 37% efficiency and ensuring long-term stability. This project is supported by an EPSRC grant, emphasizing the importance of sustainable, research-driven partnerships with significant national and global implications.
