For jobs that require extensive field services during a planned or forced outage, our team of certified field machinists will arrive on-site with the tooling, machinery, safety measurements, and repair experience needed to complete the scope of work. PPS takes extensive care of our machinery and tooling as we understand the importance of organization and cleanliness on the job-site.  We will review and examine tooling required to complete the scope of work, as well as keep duplicates of all tooling sets to assure there is no tooling delay. We continue to expand our on-site capabilities to ensure a smooth transition from outage to power production without the need to ship any components to our repair shops. We are continuously expanding equipment which currently includes but is not limited to:Fully Equipped Portable Machine Shop.

Power Plant Services has the capabilities to complete shop repairs for steam and gas turbines. Our capabilities include, but are not limited to: Blade / Bucket InstallationRotor WeldingCasing RepairValve Overhaul / RepairSealsTurning GearsAuxiliary Equipment. PPS has repair facilities in Oswego, IL and Ball Ground, GA. We are also capable of performing field machining work on-site when parts are too large to transport to our facilities.

Power Plant Services has the ability to service your company with rotating and station equipment repairs for: bucket / blade removal, manufacturing, installation bearing journal, thrust collar, rotating blade restoration, cover stock, other blade hardware manufacturing / installation balancing service, seal replacement, overspeed trip testing, nozzle and diaphragm inspection and repairs, casing weld repair, valve inspection and overhaul, turbine rotor inspection.
