Loop Leader Intrinsically Safe Loop-Powered Meters
There`s nothing stripped down or bare bones about these intrinsically safe, loop-powered meters, designed for demanding process control applications. Standard features include a full 5-digit backlit display with bargraph, on-screen custom engineering units, and max/min display capabilities. There are two models available: the PD683 is for general-purpose applications and the PD688 is for hazardous area applications.

The PD685 is a low-cost, NEMA 4X, loop-powered indicator that is easy to install and program and can be seen from considerable distance. It will operate over a wide temperature range meaning it can be installed both indoors and out. And the PD685`s 1 V drop results in a minimal burden on the loop. The indicators are not just for good looks but they serve an important function when the operators are pulling bottom ash. The controls for the vacuum pumps are remote from the boiler fronts and the pumps them-selves are on sixth floor while the indicators are on grade floor. The indicators display bottom ash vacuum so the operators have instant status of the vacuum system running. ProtEX-Lite - Explosion-Proof Loop-Powered Meter
The PD663 is a rugged, explosion-proof NEMA 4X loop-powered meter perfect for applications where a simple, inexpensive display is required in a hazardous area. The PD663 derives all its power from the 4-20 mA loop. The PD663 is scaled using four push buttons and can be done without applying an actual calibration signal, and through the explosion-proof enclosure with optional magnetic reed switches and a magnet key. The PD663`s display will read up to 2999; we call this 3½+ digits! The loop-powered backlighting option lets you see the display under any lighting condition and is powered completely from the 4-20 mA loop. This means there is no need for additional wiring and never any batteries to change. The PD663 is housed in a rugged, explosion-proof, cast aluminum, NEMA 4X enclosure and is provided with two threaded conduit holes, one factory installed metal conduit plug, and integrated 1.5` inch pipe or wall mounting flanges.
