Our APT torch is at the heart of our proprietary plasma waste processing and waste-to-energy technologies and have been deployed by the US Department of Defense. Developed by our team initially as a game-changing solution for waste destruction and subsequent energy recovery, the plume from an APT can reach more than 5000^oC, an excellent tool for the transforming of materials to value-added products. This torch can be modified for uses with different gases and reach power levels ranging from 50 kW to 500 kW. Available in a light weight (magnet-free), compact configuration, the APT offers an electrode service life which can exceed 1000 hours of continuous operation in a multitude of other applications in the metallurgical, advanced materials, nanomaterial and oil & gas sectors.

This reverse polarity torch has been used since 1991 to provide a high energy, clean environment for the production of spherical metallic powders, the fabrication of high purity metal, gas heating, production of carbon nanotubes and more. Already used in the developed plasma atomization technology for spherical reactive metal production, the RPT offers flexibility, as well as a simple and efficient mode of operation for our customers and requiring high enthalpy plasma systems for their applications. With a very low level of erosion, the RPT is ideally suited for the production of high purity advanced materials and nanomaterial.

Developed to combat Montreal Protocol-regulated ozone depleting substances such as CFC and HCFC, the SPT plasma torch is an integral part of our developed refrigerant destruction technology, SPARC. Ionizing water into a heightened energy state, the SPT creates highly reactive conditions to completely destroy feedstock chemicals (including HFC and PFC), to clean effluent gas streams, or to control C-H ratios in hydrocracking and biomass gasification applications. Available currently at a power level of 150 kW, the SPT is a novel, innovative tool which can provide your plant engineer or lead scientist with a new level of processing flexibility not previously available in the market place.
