Regional Environmental Center (REC) services

Within this area of expertise, the REC supports the implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement. It contributes to regional, national and sub-national efforts to develop and implement low-emission development strategies and to build resilience to climate change. The REC provides good-quality data for decision makers; promotes dialogue and international cooperation among different stakeholder groups; disseminates low-carbon development knowledge; builds the capacities of national and sub-national stakeholders; and facilitates active public participation in policy making.
