Rioglass - Heliostat Mirrors
Rioglass introduces a new technology for heliostat mirrors. Rioglass can continue to offer its extreme high quality mirrors, with high durability, integrated with a backing panel in order to increase the mechanical stability and decrease the overall weight of the heliostat. This will enable use under higher wind loads, decreasing the design load of the heliostat and enable more accurate solar tracking. This new technology can be used both for flat mirrors, as well as curved mirrors (in one or two directions) for further increasing the overall efficiency of the solar field. The production process allows for extreme high repeatability and flexibility, both in dimension and in curvature.

Our Engineers have developed a Fresnel system not seen before generating process heat at a much lower cost while at the same time eliminating fossil fuels and therefore reducing the customers carbon foot print. This Rioglass breakthrough design enables us to manufacture, assemble and calibrate these amazing modules at our facilities worldwide so the equipment is ready to be installed when it arrives at the customer’ site. These “Plug and Play” systems are designed to work with a variety of heat transfer fluids.

Rioglass - Heat Transfer Fluid Receiver (HTF)
The UVAC 90-7G is our first large aparterture trough receiver. Based on the RS-UVAC 70-7G technology, this large diameter receiver enables more energy absorption, hence increasing the energy output per unit. The UVAC 90-7G has been developed by Rioglass based on more than 20 years of proven track record of developing HCEs for the solar thermal industry by Solel. The UVAC tubes are built and tested for extreme environmental conditions and complies with strict standards and quality for Power Piping as well as for Boiler & Pressure vessel (e.g.: ASME B31.1, ASME VIII).

The RS-UVAC 70-7G is based on the RS-UVAC 6G technology, which is an advanced technologically tubular heat collecting element (“HCE”) for Concentrated Solar Power plants (CSP) based on Parabolic Trough technology, and uses synthetic thermal oil as heat transfer fluid (HTF). The RS-UVAC 70-7G is the 7th generation of vacuum tubes that has been developed by Rioglass based on more than 20 years of proven track record of developing HCEs for the solar thermal industry by Solel. The RS-UVAC tubes are built and tested for extreme environmental conditions and complies with strict standards and quality for Power Piping as well as for Boiler & Pressure vessel (e.g.: ASME B31.1, ASME VIII)

The RS PTR 70-4G tubes are built and tested for extreme environmental conditions and complies with strict standards and quality for Power Piping as well as for Boiler & Pressure vessel (e.g.: ASME B31.1, ASME VIII).
