Ultrasonic Plastic Welding Systems

Ultrasonic Presses

As a joining process for industrial thermoplastics, the ultrasonic method is very well proven in practice. Particularly in the production of mass- produced parts, the process offers definite advantage over previous methods. RTUL offers wide selection of welding equipment and installation which with respect to generator performance, range of welding force, frequency of operation and possible uses, efficiently satisfies your specific application requirements. Each ultrasonic welding installation comprises the following main components: Electronic ultrasonic Generator, Transducer, Booster and Sonotrode, Pneumatic Press and Control Unit (AWC 6 & MPS 3.1), The Generator is the heart of every ultrasonic welding system, its function being to supply the transducer with an alternating current of a given ultrasonic frequency. This is then converted by the transducer into mechanical / ultrasonic vibrations which are finally transmitted via, the booster and sonotrode to the item being welded.

Metal Welding

WP Series Metal Welding

Ultrasonic metal welding is described as a friction welding process, where oxides and other contaminations present on the material surfaces are broken up, and the parts to be welded are brought together under simultaneous pressure. Molecular bonding, similar to the conventional cold-press welding, then takes place. The greater the challenge, the stronger our commitment: Ease of automation, weld parameter monitoring and statistical process control are demanded by the market, as they are prerequisites for the use of ultrasonic metal welding in industrial production Environments. On the basis of solid engineering know-how and precision machine building, we offer application specific welding systems for semi- and fully automated production processes.

Rotary Metal Welding Systems

Improvements in quality and efficiency, reduced energy requirements and excellent retention of thermal/electrical properties post weld are the decisive advantages of this new technology. Ultrasonic has been well accepted as a cold welding technique for continuous welding of solar thermal components which unchanged the basic property of the copper tube and the copper sheet. Without using any external solder or adhesive, the metallurgical bond between the two coppers/aluminum is achieved by ultrasonic technique. This ensures a very high degree of thermal efficiency. The resultant weld is continuous and there are no dry spots. The ultrasonic bond is achieved at a molecular level and as there is no external material, even the small width of the weld provides good transfer of the heat. The complete machine is semi-automatic with PLC controlled operations. Our machines are very easy to install & also very easy to operate.
