Sciencetech - Large Area Flash Solar Simulator

Sciencetech’s PSS1 flash solar simulator is designed to illuminate large photovoltaic devices up to 1m × 1m in size with 1 Sun intensity, using a built-in beam-conditioning reflector to maximize the uniform light distribution. The default spectral match is to ASTM AM1.5G, using a heavy-duty xenon flash lamp and spectral filtering. The flash is 500µs at 90% of peak intensity, and 2.5ms at 50% of peak intensity, but pulse stretching options are available for longer, flatter pulses (purchased separately).

Sciencetech - Highly Collimated Flash Solar Simulator - 1.8 x 1.5m - Class AAA

Sciencetech’s FSSP-HC-A highly collimated flash solar simulator is capable of illuminating targets up to 1.8 × 1.5m (or 1.5m diameter) with highly collimated light (up to 0.5° half angle). This allows testing of concentrated photovoltaics (CPV) or other applications requiring extremely high collimation. Within the illuminated area, the central 1 × 1m or larger meets Class A uniformity requirements. Please speak with your Sciencetech technical support staff for Class A uniformity matching over the entire illumination area. The default spectral match is to ASTM AM1.5D.

The Solar Reference Cell consist of a 20 x 20 mm monocrystalline silicon Photovoltaic Cell encased in a 92 x 70 x 16 mm metal enclosure with a protective quartz window and a temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is a 100 ohm platinum Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD).

The Sciencetech SSIVT-REF single element silicon detector is designed to be used for monitoring and verifying the Sun level of solar simulators. The SSIVT-REF detector is used effective in sensing wavelengths between 190 nm and 1100 nm and is calibrated to the sun. The SSIVT-REF detector is used with SSIVT-1KF IV measurement system it can also be used with the Sciencetech SOL-METER solar power meter.
