The GR91 converters are forced air cooling static converters, designed to meet the needs of customers who use these bridges for applications such as: Three-phase diode bridges, Semi-controlled DC Bus power supplies, Three-phase thyristor bridges, Three-phase static switches, Single-phase unidirectional bridges, Single-phase static switches, These are bridges created for low power low voltage applications. The current range is ranging between 60A and 700A depending on the circuit type. Dimensions and performances are strictly connected to the application and to the circuit configuration type. Eaton Bussmann High-Speed fuses are generally connected to the bridge input, in order to protect the semiconductors. Each converter is equipped with a thermal protection suitably designed to ensure its thermal and electrical characteristics.

SECOM has developed its own family of modular Inverter for industrial electronics: SECOMDRIVE. SECOMDRIVE is an innovative solution for all AC applications for automation or renewable energy lines in which high-power asynchronous motors are used. Among the various applications of SECOMDRIVE inverters there are also machines, automatisms and industrial motors. In the field of energy conversion and more specifically in DC/AC application, new technologies and high power IGBT`s have allowed the development of industrial inverter with high current switching capabilities. SECOM has created a series of IGBT power converters for these specific applications with particular attention to the development of converters in the 200kW-6MW range at 400 and 690Vac. The industrial inverter have been designed for two different voltage ranges: 400Vac and 690Vac three-phase, using IGBTs at 1200V and 1700V.

The demand for regenerative IGBT "rectifiers" has led to the development of F3E and AFE bidirectional converters with rectifying capabilities and network recovery capacity. The F3E bidirectional converter is a Fundamental frequency front-end regenerative unit - identified by the SDF code. It`s a regenerative power module solution where the AC/DC converter uses diodes inside the IGBT modules to supply the DC bus, while the IGBTs are used during regenerative operation. SECOM has created a series of IGBT bidirectionals converters for these specific applications with particular attention to the development of converters in the 100kW-8MW range at 400 and 690Vac.

Gli Inverter SECOMDRIVE MV IGBT Inverter are high performance water cooled converter with Neutral Point Clamped (NPC) topology. The IGTB Power Stack’s converter can also be used as regenerative converter, e.g. Active Front End (AFE). SECOM Drive MV IGBT Inverter meets the following requirements: High dynamic performances, High power rating at low frequencies, Line power factor = almost 1,0 (AFE version), Four-quadrant operation (AFE version). Grid-side and motor-side converters use 4,8 MVA IGBT modules. The IGBT Power Stack is a complete three-phase Inverter solution in a single support module (on wheel) and each phase is on a single removable drawer.
