The SIQENS EcoCabinet is an advanced, plug-and-play solution designed to tackle the challenges of off-grid energy supply. Customizable to specific performance requirements, the EcoCabinet arrives pre-assembled and ready to deliver power immediately, regardless of whether the setup is mobile or stationary. At its core is the SIQENS Ecoport, powered by methanol, which operates quietly and emits no fine dust. In configurations, either the Ecoport 1500 or the Ecoport 800 ensures reliable electricity generation. The EcoCabinet integrates all essential components, including fuel cells, batteries, inverters, and methanol tanks, within a weather-protected housing. Additionally, remote monitoring allows users to track power generation and receive updates from any location. Optional features like PV modules enhance energy efficiency further, leveraging solar power to complement the methanol-powered system. The EcoCabinet's versatility extends to various practical applications, from powering office containers to ensuring emergency power supplies for cold chambers. Each unit is configurable with different battery capacities, inverter options, and methanol tank sizes, ensuring that operational needs are met precisely.
Siqens - Liquid Energy Carrier
As a liquid energy carrier, methanol offers advantages for the operation of fuel cells that cannot be realized with gaseous hydrogen: simple transport, non-loss storage, and high energy density. Inside the SIQENS Ecoport, hydrogen is derived from methanol and used to generate electrical energy directly at the fuel cell stack. Methanol thus serves as a liquid hydrogen carrier which – as a renewable fuel – effectively eliminates carbon emissions. While direct methanol fuel cells are usually operated with ultrapure methanol, the SIQENS Ecoport uses a conventional methanol that corresponds to the industrial standard. The fuel is available at local chemical dealers or can be purchased directly from SIQENS in the convenient and ADR-certified 25 liter fuel cell cartridge SIQENS QE Charge. Thus you enjoy independence regarding your fuel supply as well as in the process of power generation.
