Sunny Tripower - Solar String Inverter
The Sunny Tripower CORE1 is the world’s first free-standing string inverter for decentralized rooftop and ground-based PV systems as well as covered parking spaces. The groundbreaking new design allows reductions in installation time of up to 60% and, at the same time, lowers the total cost of ownership (OPEX).
Sunny Highpower - Solar String Inverter
PEAK 3 stands for pure power. With its compact design, the inverter offers maximum power density at minimum weight. This results in less expensive transportation and simplified installation. In combination with the project-specific DC Combiner Boxes, the PV array can be oversized up to 150 %. Sunny Boy - Storage Battery Inverter
The Sunny Boy Storage battery inverter has been precisely engineered to serve as the intelligent interface between PV, the electrical grid and industry-leading high-voltage batteries. Its AC coupled architecture enables installation at any point in time, providing greater flexibility and giving installers the opportunity to generate new business with existing customers. Along with its ability to address the large retrofit market of existing PV systems, it also delivers the most costeffective, versatile and innovative residential storage solution available. Additionally, up to 2000 W of convenience power can now be achieved in the event of a grid outage during both day and night thanks to SMA’s proprietary Backup Lite feature. Whole home backup is also available with the SMA Automatic Backup Unit.
SMA Sunny Island - Battery Inverter
The new SMA Sunny Island 4548-US and 6048-US inverters are based on the proven off-grid technology in the Sunny Island 5048-US but now feature 20 percent more power output. A maximum efficiency of 96 percent ensures peak production, which results in reduced diesel usage and makes a smaller dimensioning of the PV array possible. The new Sunny Island with two different power ratings enable more flexible system sizing. And, with multicluster technology, up to 12 Sunny Islands can be integrated into off-grid power systems up 100 kW in size.
SMA - Multicluster Box for Sunny Island 4548-US and 6048-US
The Multicluster Box for the Sunny Island 4548-US and 6048-US is the ideal solution for the easy installation of off-grid systems up to 100 kW. Two to four three-phase clusters, each with three Sunny Islands, can be connected in parallel. The Multicluster Box is pre-wired for operation and equipped with a main connection for PV or wind energy systems. The communication cables necessary for installation are also included.

The Medium Voltage Block is the perfect partner for the Sunny Central inverter and has been specifically designed to offer the lowest installed cost. Convenient kitted components offer vastly simplified field integration while eliminating the need for skid solutions that can increase logistical complexity. Transformer monitoring facilitated through the inverter MODBUS reports analog values for temperature and pressure, which enables trend-based predictive maintenance. The new Medium Voltage Block further advances the level of integration in SMA’s Utility Power System, creating the lowest risk, highest return utility PV solution available.
DC Technology
SMA - Photovoltaic DC-DC Converter
The new SMA DC-DC converter allows designers to increase their PV power plant’s yields by oversizing the DC array without compromising energy losses. This is accomplished with the new DC-coupling option and the generous DC–AC ratios of the Sunny Central EV inverter series. The inverter can intelligently control the flow of power for many different use-cases, including clipped-loss capturing. The stored energy can be fed in at attractive times, for example, in the morning or at night, to achieve a better price-point for the energy. Grid operators are able to benefit from grid services, such as frequency control or time-based feed-in schedules. Up to six DC-DC converters can be connected and operated simultaneously on the Sunny Central inverter. This minimizes battery short-circuits currents for high energy applications and avoids the need for additional and expensive protection measures inside the battery container.
SunSpec - Certified Rapid Shutdown Technology
SunSpec - Rapid Shutdown Device
The SunSpec Rapid Shutdown System (model JMS-F), available from SMA, is the most cost-effective and reliable solution for fulfilling NEC 2017 module level shutdown requirements. The module-level device is certified for compatibility with the SunSpec communication signal and SMA inverters, making compliance simple and easy. By using the existing DC lines between the inverter and PV array for power line communications, installation and labor are significantly reduced. No additional wires or communication equipment is needed. The solution also features up to 50% fewer internal components vs alternatives, resulting in greater lifetime reliability.
