PHOTOCAP - Standard-Cure EVA
Photocap A9918P/UF is a standard cure EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer) photovoltaic encapsulating film material. This product is the original EVA encapsulant that was first commercialized in 1979 and has been continuously produced and utilized for PV module constructions for over 30 years.Photocap A9918P/UF can be used for all crystalline silicon photovoltaic module constructions, and for many thin film photovoltaic designs. Photocap A9918P/UF is provided as extruded rolled film ready for use in thermal lamination processes. The extruded product can be provided smooth, orwith surface texture to improve vacuum lamination. Suffix “P” on the Photocap product name indicates that his grade is self-priming for adhesion to glass. Suffix “UF” indicates User Friendly, or lower shrinkage product for improved lamination stability.
PHOTOCAP - Ultra-Fast Cure EVA
Photocap FC280P/UF is a fast cure EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer) photovoltaic encapsulating film material. Photocap FC280P/UF has similar cure kinetics, but with improved photo-thermal stability relative to Photocap 15295P/UF. Photocap FC280P/UF is available only in Asia. Photocap FC280P/UF can be used for all crystalline silicon photovoltaic module constructions, and for many thin film photovoltaic designs. Photocap FC280P/UF is provided as extruded rolled film ready for use in thermal lamination processes. The extruded product can be provided smooth, or with surface texture to improve vacuum lamination. PHOTOCAP - Mega-Fast Cure EVA
PHOTOCAP® 15455P is a mega-fast cure EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer) photovoltaic encapsulating film material with yet faster curing kinetics relative to PHOTOCAP 15420P. Module lamination time can be reduced by at least 50% relative to standard cure encapsulants.
PHOTOCAP 15455P can be used for all crystalline silicon photovoltaic module constructions, and for many thin film photovoltaic designs. PHOTOCAP 15455P is provided as rolled film ready for use in thermal lamination processes. The material is self-priming for adhesion to glass.
PHOTOCAP - Thermoplastic
Photocap 25539P is a new thermoplastic encapsulant intended for thin film PV modules on the back-side of the device. Retention of glass adhesion and photo-thermal stability is comparable to other Photocap products. Photocap 25539P has lower moisture absorption and optical transmission relative to EVA based encapsulants. Photocap 25539P can be used for all crystalline silicon photovoltaic module constructions, and for many thin film photovoltaic designs. Photocap 25539P is provided as extruded rolled film ready for use in thermal lamination processes. The extruded product can be provided smooth, or with surface texture to improve vacuum lamination.

The cure kinetics of PHOTOCAP 15420P are improved relative to fast-cure EVA PHOTOCAP 15295P, which allows for yet faster cycle time during photovoltaic cell encapsulation. PHOTOCAP 15420P was commercially introduced in 2002 and is now the PV industry standard low shrink, "ultra-fast curing" EVA encapsulant used worldwide. PHOTOCAP 15420P can be used for all crystalline silicon photovoltaic module constructions, and for many thin film photovoltaic designs. PHOTOCAP 15420P is provided as rolled film ready for use in thermal lamination processes. The material is self-priming for adhesion to glass.
