TRNSYS Types

TRNSYS - Boiler Model

The simulation model Type 869 calculates the energy balance of different burner and boiler types dynamically. Predefined fuel types are natural gas (H/L), heating oil, and wood pellets. Alternative fuels can be defined by the user based on the chemical composition, moisture content, as well as the upper and lower heating values. The model is based on and has been treated in scientific publications (1, 2, 3).

TRNSYS - Collektor Model

The simulation model Type 832 is a further development of the model Type 232 by Bengt Perers and Chris Bales (IEA SHC Task 26). With the extensions it is possible to simulate several thermal nodes in the path of the fluid flow as well as thermal gains by condensation and frost (for uncovered collectors operated below the dew point). With the multinode option collectors in series in low flow operating conditions can be simulated more accurately.
