Air-cooled condensers are heat exchangers that take a process stream in gaseous form, cool it below its dewpoint and discharge a stream with the majority of the material in liquid form. Multiple axial flow fans are generally used to supply the cooling ambient air. The medium being cooled is dependent on the process being considered. Most of the applications are in petrochemical, power generation, and refrigeration.

Sterling TT - Air Preheaters For Efficient Processing

Air preheaters take energy from a process stream to heat incoming air to a system. This operation increases the inlet temperature of the air to the process thus improves the overall efficiency of the system. Air preheaters may be configured as gas to air or liquid to air, depending on the available process streams.

Sterling TT - Bearing Oil Coolers

Bearing oil coolers sit within the bearing housing removing heat directly from the oil sat in the oil sump. The shape of the oil sump depends on the machine orientation and operating parameters. As a result, the geometry of the cooler varies widely from one application to the next. Cooling of a bearing on a vertical shaft may require a circular array of tubes to sit around the outside of the bearing while other arrangements may need a set of small cooling clusters in the bottom of the housing.
