Mylar® A films are tough, general purpose films that are transparent in 48 through 92 gauge and translucent in heavier gauges. They have a rough surface to provide ease of handling, good adhesion, and processability. Over time, where some films can harden with age, Mylar® A films remain flexible while remaining resistant to moisture. They are used for a broad range of industrial applications such as stencils, apparel stays, book jackets, carbon ribbon, control tape, drumheads, identifications, and membrane touch switches.

MELINEX® ST506 is a crystal clear, high gloss, heat stabilized polyester film. It is pretreated on both sides for improved adhesion. It can be overprinted with a wide range of solvent-based graphic inks and varnishes, silver conductive and dielectric inks. It is ideally suited for graphic and certain circuitry layers in membrane touch switches.
