Telema SPA products

Telema resistors are mounted on vehicles running all over the world and are installed on the main High Speed Trains (HST) like the italian ETR500 family, the french TGV and new generation AGV, the spanish AVE S102, S103, HSP250 and german ICE 350, the TALGO-TAV and the first american ACELA.

An Electric Multiple Unit or EMU is a multiple unit train consisting of self-propelled carriages. This typology of vehicles doesn’t require a separate locomotive as electric traction motors are incorporated within a number of the carriages. They  are mostly used for passengere trains ad are popular on commuter and suburban rail networks having the characteristics of fast acceleration and pollution-free operations.

The Light Rail Vehicles are the form of urban public transportation that usually is associated to low capacity, in terms of passengers, and low speed.

The Neutral  Grounding Resistors are generally employed in medium and low voltage (MV and LV) distribution networks to protect power transformers and generators from damaging currents in the event of earth fault.

The Harmonic Filter resistors are used to eliminate the dangerous distortions (harmonics) generated inside the network due to connection of more and more number of electronic power converters.

The CGC series of Telema contactors are specifically designed for use in a railway environment. Strong and continuous vibrations, heavy duty cycles, limited space available and extended temperature range are just some of the criteria that have been taken into account in the design of this product family. The result is a very thin component, the best in class for similar electrical performances. The self-supplied magnetic arc blow-out technology is available for both AC and DC versions, as well as in bipolar and tripolar versions, in order to get the best flexibility toward the customer needs and his application layout.
