Hydrogen is a dense energy carrier and a clean burning fuel. However, it can be inefficient to produce, store and transport. Because hydrogen rarely exits on its own as a gas, it requires energy-intensive processes to produce. Traditional hydrogen production techniques require natural gas and high temperatures resulting in a high energy demand and CO₂ emissions. Green hydrogen is extracted from water using renewable electricity and releases only oxygen into the air. Using plasma to produce hydrogen is competitive, efficient and has a low environmental impact, resulting in ‘green’ hydrogen. Through the thermal, electrical and light energy produced from a plasma arc, Tetronics Hydrogen Plasmolysis (THP) produces the ultimate green hydrogen from water.
