Heat pumps drive heat from a lower temperature to medium temperature, using high grade energy. Thermax heat pumps utilise steam, hot water, exhaust, fuel, geothermal energy or any combination of these heat sources, to pump heat. Heat pumps save approximately 35% of heat energy. Thermax heat pumps are extensively used in Europe, Scandinavian countries and China for district heating applications. Heat pumps are also used in industries like: textile plants, edible oil, food, auto & white goods, etc. Thermax has over 100 MW capacity of heat pump installations to its credit, installed across the globe.

The boiler with its simplified, cost-effective and efficient design provides improved performance. Benefits include high combustion efficiency, high reliability and availability, low maintenance costs, reduced erosion, enormous fuel flexibility and low emissions. Thermax`s CFBC boiler is based on Babcock & Wilcox`s unique internal re-circulation CFB boiler design and employs a patented two-stage particle separation system. One of the best implementations of `clean coal` technology, Thermax CFBC boiler is gaining rapid acceptance in the global market.

Thermax`s bubbling type AFBC boiler offers efficient, cost-effective and reliable steam generation and is a viable alternative to conventional solid fuel-fired boilers for industrial applications. With over 265 installations across the world, the boiler offers benefits like fuel flexibility, high efficiency, low emissions, and reduced capital and operating expenses.  Thermax`s AFBC boiler design incorporates unique features which are ideal for burning fuels containing high ash, stones, and scrap metal with high iron content.

In Oil & Gas segment fired heaters are an essential requirement for heating Thermic fluid , process fluids Feed stock , charge heating , steam heating and for thermal cracking .in the refinery segment of oil & gas sector, The design of these units depends on the application and the choice can be between ‘vertical cylindrical` or ‘box-type furnace` designs. These units are offered either for Offshore or for On shore installation.  The heaters are designed in accordance to API codes, are equipped with multi fuel firing capabilities and are engineered to operate at high efficiency. The design can incorporate air pre heat systems that make use of carbon steel, cast iron or glass tubes to achieve high efficiency.

With ever rising conventional energy costs and the impact of Carbon dioxide on global warming worldwide, researchers are focusing on harnessing solar energy as a non-polluting perennial energy source. The source being very dilute in nature, requires a large land area for capturing. The cost of this non conventional energy is still very high. With increased focus on technology development and market potential, costs are projected to come down in future.  Internationally, solar power plant technology is still under development and hardly any efforts are made in India. Thermax is pioneering the indigenous development of solar thermal power plants. This development is focused on a cost competitive power plant, using solar concentrators.  Thermax`s Power division is currently working on two main streams of this technology development:

Thermax offers coil type steam boilers in the range of 50 to 850 kg of steam per hour. The coil type boiler generates steam instantly and is extremely easy to install and commission. These boilers are designed for safe and reliable operations. Coil type steam boilers are designed to operate on a wide range of liquid and gaseous fuels including heavy oil, light oil, gas, and dual fuel options. The various types of coil type boilers, manufactured at our unit, are Revomax and Steamatic.

Thermax offers thermal oil/thermic fluid heaters, fired by a wide range of fuels. Our heaters are available in both solid fuel firing as well as oil/gas firing versions so that you get the advantage of economically available fuels. Thermal Oil Heaters range from 0.1 million kcal/hr to 20 million kcal/hr. All Thermal Oil Heaters are made with a coil type design ensuring instant heat. Thermax offers fuel options of heavy oil, light oil, gas, dual fuel, coal, husk, bagasse and other agro-waste fuels.

Energy Plant is a unique solution from Thermax which offers multiple heating media such as Steam, thermal oil and Hot gas through highly efficient system with thermal efficiency more than 94%. This system helps to minimize cost and maximize the operating efficiency. We have capability of supplying Energy Plant up to 97 MW.”
