Explosionproof Switchgear Assemblies

Thuba - Flameproof Switchgear Assemblies for Gas Group IIC

The switchgear assemblies, specifically designed as flameproof enclosures under the designation 'd' (EPL Gb), cater to environments with gas explosion hazards. Comprising six distinct enclosures, this range is suitable for operation within Gas Group IIC, conforming to IEC standards 60079-0, 60079-1, and 60079-7 for Zones 1 and 2, as well as EN 60079-31 for Zones 21 and 22. These enclosures are crafted from an aluminium alloy that is devoid of copper to enhance durability and performance. The powder coating applied is drip-proof and offers resilience against seawater, making them ideal for harsh environments. The flexibility of installation is provided through options for both wall-mounted and free-standing power distribution systems, tailored to meet precise customer specifications.

LED-Lamps

Thuba - Explosionproof LED Hand Lamps

Explosionproof LED hand lamps are designed for environments with potentially explosive atmospheres, including Zones 0, 1, and 2 for gases and Zones 20, 21, and 22 for dust. These hand lamps play a critical role in maintenance and inspection tasks within confined and hazardous spaces such as plants, machinery, aircraft, and shipyards. The lamps are particularly valued in the chemical and processing industries, as well as oil and gas, food, and pharmaceutical sectors. They can also serve essential functions in mechanical engineering, shipyard operations, and as safety lighting in tunnels. In applications like aircraft tank maintenance, the lamps offer vital safety features, including operation on a separate power supply to ensure safety during power outages. For enhanced personal safety in metal-constructed confined spaces, the lamps are available with safety extra-low voltage, isolating transformers, or fault-current circuit breakers with a tripping current of 10 mA.

Electric Heating

Thuba - Electric Air Heaters

Electric air heaters play a crucial role in various industrial applications, particularly in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. These devices are essential for air conditioning systems, primarily when preheating air is necessary to enhance process efficiency. In process engineering, electric air heaters enable the achievement of specific process temperatures required for tasks such as drying paper webs in printing machines. They are also instrumental in drying tanks and containers with hot air after cleaning, ensuring that no moisture remains that could affect subsequent processes. Furthermore, heated gas flows facilitated by electric air heaters are necessary for initiating or maintaining reactions, making them indispensable in a wide range of industrial and manufacturing processes.
