Tornado`s utility flare design is an economical solution for emergency shut down (ESD) applications, compressor blowdowns, pigging, and cases where smoke emissions may not be a concern.

Tornado`s High Pressure or Low Pressure gas-assisted flare stack designs can eliminate smoke (HP Gas-Assist) or sour gas odours (LP Gas-Assist) on site. These designs can also be used to ensure efficient combustion in the most challenging of weather conditions.

Tornado`s steam-assisted flare stacks are designed to combust heavy hydrocarbons with no smoke emissions when there is a source of high-pressure steam available on site.

The Tornado Pilot Monitoring and Auto-Relight (TPMR) System is the most reliable ignition system for flare stacks. The TPMR System consists of a continuous pilot and a self-contained relight system, with very low fuel consumption (25 SCFH). The assembly is fully retractable to grade for easy inspection and servicing without the need for ladders, platforms, pickers or cranes.

The Tornado Electric Ignition System (TEIS) is a cost-effective alternative to the pilot monitoring system that can be used for sweet gas applications where fuel gas or propane supply is not available.

In applications where there are no immediate safety concerns regarding the combustion of waste gas, but there is still a desire to hide visible flame and reduce odour concerns, Tornado can offer an enclosed ground flare.
