The aim of the UK Spill Association (UKSpill) is to represent companies, organisations and individuals working in the oil and chemical spill response industry in the UK as a national trade body and to build an internationally respected reputation.

Members of UKSpill comprise spill responders and consultants, product manufacturers and client organisations including those that store and distribute oil and chemicals, insurers, brokers and loss adjusters working in the industry in the UK and internationally.

UKSpill is recognised by the UK Government, its Trade, Environmental and Maritime Agencies as the national industry body for the commercial and related interests of the spill response industry.
The principal objectives for UKSpill are:

To promote our Members by organizing and participating in regional, national and international events, exhibitions and conferences for the spill industry, oil industry, government and the public, independently and in partnership. Also by maintaining a comprehensive online directory of Members` products and services and links to their websites, through strategic relationships with related organisations and through the regular publication of the UKSpill magazine “Spill Alert” and information published on our web-site.
To lobby on behalf of our Members by speaking authoritatively, and coordinating responses to relevant government and non-government consultations that may have a significant influence on our Members’ activities.
To share information about and amongst our Members by providing educational and networking opportunities through regular meetings, events and seminars, held across the UK and internationally, through regular Member Updates and through our web-site.
To establish service benchmarks and raise industry standards by managing the UK Spill Contractors Accreditation Scheme, and also through UKSpill supported training and events, participation in relevant national and international research, and development projects.

UKSpill - Promotional Associations

UKSpill are continually working to increase business for our Members and to assist in the development of opportunities nationally and internationally. UKSpill have developed the following relationships to enable the effective promotion of our Members.

UKSpill are a Trade Challenge Partner with the UKTI
UKSpill shares ownership of the international “Interspill” conference and exhibition (a showcase for Members) the triennial European Oil Spill Conference and Exhibition.
UKSpill and Reed Exhibitions have created SPILLEX, which is a series of event zones, focussed on oil spills, and included in events within Reed’s Energy & Marine portfolio.
