We specialize in low temperature biomass dryers that can operate at ambient air temperatures and also have the ability to operate at higher temperatures using heat exchangers to transport hot air with low air speed throughout the system, creating less dust.  Biomass is spread evenly over the conveyor belt and is capable of being dried with 70% moisture down to 30% moisture, at a temperature of 194 degrees Fahrenheit, by utilizing the waste heat.

Waste heat is created by the use of combined heat power systems or waste heat generated by existing boiler use.  This is an innovative way to increase drying efficiency.  Waste heat lowers greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and utility costs. We use state of the art systems that are environmentally friendly.  USA Sludge’s open air dryer in Kingman, Arizona dries biomass material using a combined heat and power system (CHP) that is fueled by natural gas.  This system dramatically decreases drying time.  It can also be set at higher temperatures to kill pathogens by utilizing the waste heat.
