Van Dijk heating - Retarders

A retarder from Van Dijk heating is an essential addition to any boiler to improve heat transfer. These eddy-current strips are fitted into the pipes to improve heat transfer between the medium – whether it’s gaseous or liquid – and the pipe wall. Retarders can also be used as a static mixer to combine liquids and/or gases in a pipe. They are usually made from metal, but the choice of material depends on the use. Fitting retarders increases the turbulence of the flue gases and improves the heat transfer between the flue gases and the tube wall. This increases the efficiency of the boiler by 2-3%.

Active Ventilation System with Heat Exchange

Next Generation Growing is a permanent fixture in the international greenhouse horticulture industry of today. This new way of looking at the climate in the greenhouse tells us that controlling temperature, humidity, CO2, light and screening produces an energy-efficient crop with optimal yields. The Active Ventilation System (AVS) dehumidifies the air inside the greenhouse in an energy-efficient way. The AVS unit is fitted with a mixer valve that sucks in outdoor and/or indoor air and blows it into the greenhouse via a central heating block. The relatively dry outdoor air dehumidifies the greenhouse air and the mixture can be heated to the desired temperature by the central heating block. Because we focus constantly on innovation, these units are the most energy-efficient in the market.

ECOSTER - Greenhouse Drainwater Disinfectors

In order to avoid the spread of plant diseases and infections in the nursery, disinfection of drainwater is absolutely vital. At Van Dijk heating we have been supplying the ECOSTER drainwater disinfector for this purpose since 1990. This system works via the heating system, as heating kills 99.9% of bacteria, viruses and fungi. Scientific research has demonstrated that disinfecting at 85°C for the duration of 180 seconds is sufficient. All ECOSTER disinfectors meet this standard. The energy can be supplied in different ways and we have developed a range of series to reflect this: gas-fired, with an electric element or connected to an external energy source. The capacity of our disinfectors varies from 0.4 to 50 m3/h.
