Power Generation

Liquid Fuel Power Plants

Our liquid fuel power plants are designed for a wide variety of baseload, load following and peaking solutions. The plants are based on modular engine units that can use various liquid fuels and run even in the most challenging ambient conditions. We have liquid fuel power plants in 163 countries with a total combined output of 38 GW. Our largest liquid fuel power plant is the Suape II power plant in Brazil with a total output of 380 MW.

Liquid Biofuel Power Plants

Our liquid biofuel power plants are designed to operate on straight vegetable oils or animal fats. In other words, no fuel refinement is needed, meaning even higher savings in CO2 emissions. The oils can typically be extracted with simple methods so that even the CO2 emissions associated with the fuel production are minimized.

Gas Power Plants

Our gas power plants are designed for a wide variety of baseload, load following and peaking solutions. The plants are based on modular engine units that can use various gaseous fuels and run even in the most challenging ambient conditions. We have gas power plants in 62 countries with a total combined output of 9.7 GW. Our largest gas power plant is the Aliaga baseload power plant in Turkey with a total output of 270 MW.

Multi-fuel Power Plants

Our multi-fuel power plants support the widest variety of liquid and gaseous fuels of any power plant in the market today. They can run on light and heavy fuel oils, natural gas, biogas and several other liquid and gaseous fuels. The fuel can be switched freely during operation without any decrease in power output.

When considering the life-time cost for a gas engine (CAPEX + OPEX), LNG is the best fuel.
