Wattius - Battery Management System
The Wattius wBMS-R series offers a compact solution for managing lithium battery cells in configurations of up to 32 cells. This battery management system is particularly well-suited for applications requiring precise monitoring and balancing, with a total maximum voltage measurement error of just ±2 mV. Available in two models, wBMS-R24 and wBMS-R32, it supports up to 24 and 32 cells, respectively. The system excels in connectivity, offering CAN bus, Bluetooth, and USB interfaces, and is capable of real-time data logging via a microSD card. A standout feature is its ability to connect multiple units in parallel without additional hardware, simplifying the management of extensive battery systems. Safety and diagnostics are enhanced through features like open wire detection and integrated hardware and software checks. It can also control up to six power contactors and calculate parameters like State of Charge (SoC) and State of Health (SoH).
Wattius - Advanced Battery Management System
The Wattius wBMS-MX is a versatile battery management system designed for high-voltage applications. It includes a Battery Monitoring Unit (BMU) and Cell Monitoring Units (CMU12s), with each CMU capable of managing up to 12 cells. A single BMU can support up to 24 CMU12s, totaling management of up to 288 cells in series. This system is engineered for seamless scalability, allowing multiple BMUs to be connected in parallel, thus extending the system's capacity without additional components. The wBMS-MX provides precise voltage measurements with a maximum error of ±1.5 mV and monitors external temperatures on three channels. Its adaptability is enhanced by comprehensive I/O options, including CANbus, Bluetooth, and USB interfaces. It also offers efficient smart string connection and disconnection with a control interface compatible with both Energy Management Systems (EMS) and inverters. The Wattius wBMS-MX BMU Pro is an advanced battery monitoring unit designed for integration with wBMS-MX and wBMS-HX cell management units (CMUs). This unit complies directly with IEC62619 standards and boasts a pre-certification for Functional Safety in accordance with ISO13849:1 Performance Level D, verified by an independent European laboratory. Featuring dual CAN bus interfaces, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity, the BMU Pro enhances current measurement precision and offers support for up to four hall sensor inputs, accommodating dual-range current sensors. Designed for scalability, each BMU can handle up to 48 CMUs and supports parallel connections without additional hardware. The wBMS-HX integrates seamlessly with local and cloud infrastructures via an Ethernet Modbus TCP interface and encrypted MQTT broker connectivity, supporting advanced remote management through the wBMS-Toolkit.
