Buffer Tanks - Thermal Energy Storage Tanks

Wessels - Thermal Energy Storage Tanks

Wessels TES Thermal Energy Storage Tanks are designed to store thermal energy for cooling data centers, renewable applications, loss of power, or delivery during off-peak hours. The tanks feature diffuser piping and special dual inner-screen baffles to stratify and reduce the thermal mixing zone (thermocline), increasing the efficiency for the amount of deliverable hot or chilled water. Relatively low water volume systems require additional "buffer energy" capacity for the systems to eliminate problems such as excessive equipment cycling, poor temperature control, and erratic system operation. The properly sized TES adds the necessary volume to "buffer" the system volume.

WessGuard - Tank Condition Monitor

WESSGUARD utilizes a uniquely designed capacitive sensor that is sensitive to any movement inside the tank. If the bladder extends beyond the normal movement, WESSGUARD will activate an audible alarm and LED light to notify maintenance personnel of a potential system issue. In the case of compromised bladder integrity, water level will rise and activate the alarm.

Smart Tank Series

Wessels - Thermal Expansion Tanks

Wessels Type TXA-WG Smart Tanks are ASME removable bladder type pre-charged thermal expansion tanks with WessGuard® bladder monitor.  TXA’s are designed to be installed between a backflow preventor and a hot water heater to accept the expanded volume of hot water keeping the system pressures below relief valve settings.

Thermal Expansion Bladder Tanks

Wessels - Thermal Expansion Bladder Tanks

Wessels type TXA tanks are ASME replaceable bladder type pre-charged thermal expansion tanks for commercial and industrial potable hot water applications. They are designed to be installed between a backflow preventer and a hot water heater so it can accept the expanded volume of hot water and keep the system pressure below the relief valve setting. The water is contained in a butyl bladder. All TXA expansion tanks can be installed vertically or horizontally.
