After extensive consultation and discussion with governments, stakeholders and the public, Yukon Energy has completed a draft of our latest 20-year resource plan. We thank everyone who participated in the process.

Yukon Energy`s latest strategic plan outlines how the Corporation will generate, transmit and distribute an adequate supply of sustainable electricity to Yukoners now and into the future.

This is a program offered jointly through Yukon Energy, the Yukon Development Corporation and the Yukon government`s Department of Community Services. It offers rural Yukoners who don`t currently have access to electricity the means to provide them with a power source, whether that be by hooking them up to the Yukon grid or through alternative energy sources. The Rural Electrification and Telecommunications Program may provide funding for up to 25 per cent of the assessed property value.
