XP95 E-Z Fit BasePart number: 45681-250 (Approved byUnderwriters Laboratories inthe USA)The E-Z Fit base is an ultra low profile 61/4in(150mm) mounting base for XP95 and XP95Asmoke and heat detectors that can be fitted tomounting boxes up to 4in (100mm) in size.It offers a very high degree of protectionagainst unauthorised removal of detectors. The hinged covers, which conceal the screws, are locked into place by the detector, whichin turn is locked into the base with thestandard locking screw. ? PP20652. XP95 Intrinsically Safe BasePart number: 45681-215The I.S base is not identical to the XP95 standardbase. This ensures that standard detectorscannot inadvertently be fitted to an intrinsicallysafe system. Like the Series 60 I.S base, it isconsidered part of the detector and is printedwith the legend ‘PART OF BASEEFA CERTIFIEDDETECTOR.’ Use of any other base willinvalidate the approval. ? PP10953. XP95 Low Profile SounderPart number: 45681-261A loop-powered sounder, upon which anXP95 base and detector can be mounted.Activated by the control panel, the sounderhas an output of 85dB(A) at 1 metre with acurrent consumption of only 3mA. Thesounder may be operated in two modes, pulsed or continuous. This sounder is also available with either a redcap (part no. 55000-260) or a white cap (part no.55000-259) for use as a stand-alone sounder.? PP20314. XP95 Low Power Relay BasePart number: 45681-242The relay base incorporates a low power relay tocontrol field equipment such as automatic doorclosers. The base gives a set of voltage-freerelay contacts controlled by the remote outputof an XP95 detector and draws negligible current.? PP20435&8. XP95 BasePart number: 45681-21045681-361 (Black version)The base has been designed to enable thedetector to be fitted without the need for anyforce. Like the Series 60 base, it has a “oneway only” fit.By means of a unique, patented ‘XPERT card’,the address information is held in the basewhile keeping it entirely free from electronicparts. This coded plastic card is inserted intothe base, so that the address remains the sameif a detector is replaced, for example forservicing purposes. ? PP1039 or PP10401. XP95 E-Z FIT BASE ? 2. XP95 I.S. BASE ? 3. XP95 LOW PROFILE ? 4. XP95 LOW POWER ? 5. XP95 STANDARD BASE, ?? SOUNDER ? RELAY BASE ? BLACK ?All detectors can be locked intotheir bases using an Apollo 1.5mmhexagonal driver, part number:29600-095.All bases are supplied withinstallation instructions and wiringdiagrams as appropriate. All bases that include electronics areCE marked.Information in this guide is given ingood faith, but Apollo Fire DetectorsLtd cannot be held responsible forany omissions or errors. XP95 Isolator BasePart number: 45681-211The base is designed to accept XP95 isolatorsonly. This ensures that XP95 detectors cannotbe fitted to isolator bases in error. The isolatorbase has only three terminals and an earthconnection. ? PP10397. XP95 20D Isolating BasePart number: 45681-321The isolating base senses and isolates shortcircuit faults on XP95 loops and spurs. Thebase is loop-powered, polarity sensitive andaccepts the XPERT card to set the associateddetector address. In short circuit conditions, the integral yellowLED is illuminated. The detector associatedwith the base remains active under short circuitconditions. Voltage sensing is continuous sothat power and signals to the affected sectionare restored automatically when the fault iscleared.Up to twenty devices (detectors and XP95interface units) may be installed betweenisolating bases provided that their total switchon surge current does not exceed 50mA at17.5 volts. ? PP2039 and PP10399. Series 60 Zener BasePart number: 45681-350Designed for use in systems that incorporatevoltage monitoring for detector head removalsensing. If a detector is removed, the zenerdiode clamps the supply line at 16-18V,depending on the load, so maintaining theoperation of manual call points. ? PP202210. Series 60 Marine BasePart number: 45681-200MAR(Note: when ordering the marine base, pleasebe sure to quote the full number, including thesuffix ‘MAR’)The base is designed for use with Series 60marine detectors and is distinguishable fromthe standard base by the addition of a varistor. The base is approved by Lloyds Register ofShipping, Germanischer Lloyd, AmericanBureau of Shipping, Det Norske Veritas,Bureau Veritas, and the Marine andCoastguard Agency. ? PP109911. Series 60 E-Z Fit BasePart number: 45681-251 (Approved byUnderwriters Laboratories in the USA)45681-252 (with flashing redLED) (UL approval pending)An ultra low profile 61/4in (150mm) mountingbase for Series 60 and Series 60A smoke andheat detectors which can be fitted to mountingboxes up to 4in (100mm) in size. The E-Z Fit base offers a very high degree ofprotection against unauthorised removal ofdetectors. The hinged covers, which concealthe mounting screws, are locked into place bythe detector, which in turn is locked into thebase by the standard locking screw.? PP20646. XP95 ISOLATOR BASE ? 7. Series 60 BasePart number: 45681-20045681-200UL (Approved byUnderwriters Laboratories in the USA)The Series 60 base has been designed toenable detectors to be fitted without the needof force - particularly useful when fitting tosuspended ceilings. All Series 60 bases have a“one way only” fit.The detectors are polarity insensitive and thebases are easy to wire. All bases have an earthconnector and contain no electronic parts. Also used as a standard base for the Series 65range. ? PP1050 or PP104913. Series 60 Intrinsically Safe BasePart number: 45681-207The I.S base is designed for use with theSeries 60 I.S range of detectors. For certificationpurposes, the bases are considered part of thedetector and are marked with the legend ‘PARTOF BASEEFA CERTIFIED DETECTOR.’ Use ofany other base will invalidate the approval. ? PP202814. Series 60 Low Profile Relay BasePart number: 45681-360The relay base incorporates a single-pole voltage-free changeover (form C) contact for switchingancillary equipment. The contact rating is 50V1A (max). When the detector changes to the alarm state, the relay is energised, causing the contact tochange state. The contact will remain in thiscondition until the detector is reset.15. Series 60 Diode BasePart number: 45681-201The diode base is designed for use with con-ventional systems that have manual call pointsand detector bases on the same circuit andwhere correct functioning of call points isrequired even when one or more detectorheads have been removed. The base is fittedwith a schottky diode on the “L1 IN” and “L1OUT” wiring terminals. This base can only beused with compatible control equipment.16. Series 60 6” Relay BasePart number: 45681-227A large diameter base assembly comprising abackplate which is fixed to the ceiling, a standardbase and a ‘skirt’ to provide a visually pleasingfinish. The base contains a relay with two setsof voltage-free changeover contacts (form C)and may be used as a 2-wire or 4-wire base. This base is UL listed. 12. S60 STANDARD MOUNTING BASE ? 13.
