Akvaterm is the Finnish market leader in the supply of energy accumulator tanks, and is one of the leading suppliers of other HPAC tanks. Foreign buyers are also interested in Akvaterm`s high quality tanks and accumulator tanks – nearly one half of Akvaterm`s production is already exported outside of Finland. For example, a significant portion of the cold storage tanks in Sweden and Norway has been manufactured by Akvaterm. In the British market, many biofuel boilers provide heat for an Akvaterm accumulator tank.

The development of heating systems has also created a need for developing hot water accumulator tanks. Heat sources are used in increasingly diverse ways, and the accumulator tank is a central part of these developing systems more and more often. The so-called hybrid accumulator tanks, suitable for combining several sources of heat, create a basis for the flexible control of energy usage.

An Akvaterm accumulator tank can be used independently of the energy source or heating system. With such a hybrid accumulator tank, the heat source can be traditional electric, oil or gas heating in addition to solar, wood, pellet, wind, or geothermal energy, or a combination of these. If necessary, the energy source of the accumulator tank can be changed and the heating system can be supplemented. The range also includes a solar accumulator tank, designed specifically for the use of solar power.
