Yes, the statistics were extremelypositive and demonstrate an exceptional growth over 2009. 305* exhibitors and represented companies(compared to 220 in 2009) from 17 countries with an indoor net exhibition area also up 30% over 2009. The frequentation was 15 800** people over the four days which is comparable to 2009. Significantly, it is the firsttime that an edition outside the traditional hometown of Lons le Saunier has attained equivalent visitor numbers fromthe word go (historically visitor numbers have always dropped by around 30% for a first edition in a new town, so2010 broke this tradition in the best possible way ). But it was something more nuanced, more qualitative than quantitative, that left its indelible mark at this year’s salonBois Energie. There was an underpinning sense that the wood energy sector collectively raised its game this year. Agreater sense of maturity, stability and motion exuded from all sides. The exhibitors visibly invested more time, effort and resource to present their products and services in the best lightpossible with better conceived stands providing immediately a more welcoming and professional environment. Thevisitor quality and national representation was evidently very high which according to much of the feedback, providedfor very positive business exchanges. At the core of things, the salon Bois Energie continues to cherish and to safeguard its sense of family and communityas a sector, whilst evidentely and simultaneously embracing the dynamism generated by competitive edge - acombination which in turn contributes to a welcoming yet energetic atmosphere. The facilities of a major town andExhibtion Park offered by Saint Etienne also played a key role in providing an excellent context for a sector that isgoing places. All this coupled with a more complete conference programme, stoves and fireplaces in operation, outdoorwoodworking machinery demonstrations, the Innovation Competition (this year reached a record number of 20candidates), study tours to important local wood energy installations and an action packed weekend for the familyincluding the wild chain-saw, wood sculpting spectacle of Jacques Pissenem counterbalanced by a relaxation areaand a quiet childrens zone, made for the complete event Our thanks go out to all those who joined in the Salon Bois Energie 2010 and we look forward to seeing you allagain next year (if not before ) as well as to making the acquaintance of all new interested persons seeking to developin the Wood Energy market … tip : in the meantime, keep an eye out on www.boisenergie.com for the videos ofthe winners of the 2010 Innovation Competition, complete with English subtitles.Paul Stuart CEO BEESForestry equipment 10%woodfuel producers/suppliers 12% woodfuel production machinery 22% Industrial heating 13%Domestic heating 29%Others 14%National 69%ex.r.c.International 31%Exhibitors by activityGeographical origin : 31% international exhibitors(ex.) and represented companies (r.c.)17 countries represented : Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic,Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Nederland,Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA.*238 exhibitors and co-exhibitors, certified by Expocert / 67 represented companies **certified by Expocert4Organiser : BEESBioEnergie Events and Services28, boulevard Gambetta39000 Lons-le-Saunier – FranceTel : +33 384 86 89 30 – Fax : +33 384 43 24 03www.bees.biz | info@bees.bizREPORT OF THE BOIS ENERGIE 2010 EXHIBITION– SAINT ETIENNE, FRANCESome Highlights of the 2010 ExhibitionREPORT OF THE BOIS ENERGIE 2010 EXHIBITION– SAINT ETIENNE, FRANCE5LIST OF EXHIBITORS 2010ACI FranceADEME Rhône-Alpes FranceADVANCED CYCLONE SYSTEMS PortugalAFABRA FranceAGÉCIC FranceAGENCE DU DEVELOPPEMENTECONOMIQUE DE LA LOIRE FranceAGRI DIRECT SPORT FranceAGRI-MANU SAS FranceAGRIDIS INTERNATIONAL FranceAGRO FORST AustriaAGRO SERVICE 2000 FranceALLIANCE TIRE COMPANY FranceALM FranceALPIN PELLET FranceALS REMORQUES FranceALYATECH FranceAMR FranceAPISA SpainARCA CHAUDIERES FranceATEE - ENERGIE PLUS FranceBACH RESISTOR CERAMICS GermanyBANDIT INDUSTRIE USABARRIQUAND FranceBB TECH FranceBBEC FranceBEES FranceBEIRENS FranceBENET FinlandBERTHOLD FRANCE FranceBEST FIRES FranceBGU GermanyBINDERBERGER AustriaBINETRUY GERARD FranceBIOCOM ENERGY SwitzerlandBIOENERGIE FINLANDE - ZELLWATT GermanyBIOENERGY INTERNATIONAL SwedenBIOFIRE® SwitzerlandBIOTECH FranceBIOVAL FranceBIOVAL ENVIRONNEMENT FranceBLC FranceBODART & GONAY - GEIMAS TRADING LuxembourgBOIS - ENVIRONNEMENT FranceBOIS 2 R FranceBOISNET ENERGIE SAS FranceBONNA SABLA NIVE FranceBroyeur Mobile GIANT - LHM HAKKURI FinlandBRUGG TUBES SAS FranceBTP LOIRE FranceBUGNOT 55 FranceBUHLER FranceCALIMAX AustriaCALVY FranceCANOP FranceCAPEB FranceCEL FranceCFP FranceCHAUDIÈRES MIQUÉE FranceCHEMINÉES SÉCURITÉ FranceCHRISTAL CHEMINEES FranceCIBE FranceCIMAJ - BRICAFEU FranceCIP-GREEN TECHNIK ItalyCOFELY GDF-SUEZ FranceCOFORET FranceCOGRA FranceCOM EUROP EQUIPEMENT FranceCOMAP SRL ItalyCOMPTE R FranceCONSEIL GENERAL DE LA LOIRE FranceCOULON & FILS FranceCPM EUROPE B.V.
