Calpine is committed to powering California with clean, reliable and affordable electricity from fuel-efficient energy resources. Calpine operates the state’s largest and most modern fleet of low-carbon combined-cycle and combined heat and power plants fueled by natural gas. We are also the largest renewable power provider in California. Our generation capacity of nearly 6,300 MWs is equivalent to approximately 11 percent of the California Independent System Operator’s peak power demand.
