It consists of the flasher cetisPV-XF2-M, the IV-measuring system cetisPV-CTL1 and an optional active 3-quadrant module load cetisPV-EL3-M. Its unique programmable pulsed solar simulator cetisPV-XF2-M provides highly stable light curves. It can reach 80 ms fl ash pulse duration with 20 s repetition rates using optional power boosters cetisPV-XF2-PB. It offers h.a.l.m. standard features like multi-level irradiance illumination and hysteresis measure-ments within one fl ash.The system is equipped with the h.a.l.m. IV-curve tracer cetisPV-CTL1. It is a 3-channel 16-bit AD converter with an electronic load for synchronous measurement of current, voltage, and irradiance. Furthermore, it tracks different temperatures via RTD or contact-free IR sensors for temperature correction according to IEC 60891 Ed. 2.0. Optional for 3-quadrant dark curves, the IV-curve tracer cetisPV-CTL1 can be extended with the active load cetisPV-EL3-M. This add-on enables to drive the curve into negative current ranges. It allows the recording of dark curves for more precise evaluation of series resistance. This add-on is a defi nitive must-have for thin-fi lm, CIS, and CIGS technologies.The electronic components are mounted in a 19-inch cabinet system together with the measurement PC. The ready-to-go application software package PVControl runs on the PC provided with the system. Several software options like SunsVoc or 2-diode-fi t evaluations are available. The h.a.l.m.‘s state-of-the-art class A+A+A+ cetisPV-IUCT-M package is already integrated in module sorters worldwide with all known major manufacturers of production lines. The inline module performance measuring system is highly compatible with all common interfaces. It communicates with the automation via a process interface and has many common MES connections, such as XML export, or SQL. The data interface is confi gurable for the customer, at all times.The cetisPV-IUCT-M runs with very few easy-to-change wear parts. The fl ash tube insures more than 100,000 fl ashes and can be changed easily within minutes with a hex key. Thanks to the modular principle, only small measuring cassettes need to be exchanged for calibration.Optionally, the module performance testing can be extended with a safety-testing device, which is able to perform all relevant safety tests, like 4-frame contact resistance, leakage resistance, and high-voltage (HiPot) test.
