The charging is completed at 23? according with the standard charge method, and the capacity is measured at specified temperature by discharging with a constant current 0.5C till the voltage reaches 2.5V. The cooling and warming time are both at least 6 hours. Reliability Characteristics Items Conditions Criterion 7.1Storage Performance The cells are exposed to 23? for 28 days after being fully charged. Then measure the residual and recovery capacity after the storage. Residual=90% Initial Recovery=95% Initial The cells are exposed to 60? for 7 days after being fully charged. Recovery =85% Initial 7.2 Temperature cycling Fully charged cells are to be placed in a test chamber and subjected to the following cycles: a) Raising the chamber-temperature to 70±3°C within 30 minutes and maintaining this temperature for 4 hours. b) Reducing the chamber temperature to 23±2°C within 30 minutes and maintaining this temperature for 2 hours. c) Reducing the chamber temperature to minus 40±3°C within 30 minutes and maintaining this temperature for 4 hours. Safety Characteristics d) Raising the chamber temperature to 23±2°C within 30 minutes. e) Repeating the sequence for a further 9 cycles. f) After the 10th cycle, storing the cells for a minimum of 24 hours prior to examination. 7.3High temperature & high humidity Expose the fully charged cells to constant temperature (70?)& Humidity (95%) for 88hrs.Then take out the cell to room environment for 1hour, and check the appearance. No leakage. no rupture 7.4 Free fall Drop the fully charged cell from a height of 1m to concrete floor for 3 times (+/- direction on x, y axes.), measure the voltage and impedance No fire, no explosion No leakage OCV change =25mV ,Impedance change =1mO No temperature change 7.5 Vibration Fully charged Cell is to be subjected to simple harmonic motion with an amplitude of 0.03 inch (0.8 mm) [0.06 inch (1.6 mm) total maximum excursion]. The frequency is to be varied at the rate of 1 hertz per minute between 10 and 55 hertz, and return in not less than 90 nor more than 100 minutes. The cell is to be tested in three mutually perpendicular directions. For a cell that has only two axes of symmetry, the cell is to be tested perpendicular to each axis. No fire, no explosion, no leakage . No explosion No fire The temp. of the exterior cell shall not exceed 150°C. 8.2 Overcharge The discharged cells are to be charged at 3C constant current till the voltage reaches 10V till 2.5hrs. Not should have any protect during testing. No explosion, no fire, no leakage. 8.3 130? Heating Fully charged cell is to be heated in a gravity convection or circulating air oven with an initial temperature of 23±2°C. Temperature of the sample shall return to room temperature (23±2°C) and then be examined. 8.4 Impact The fully charged cell is to be placed on a flat surface (concrete). A 15.8mm diameter bar (no sharp edges or projections preferably Iron) shall be placed across the center of the cell. A 9.1kg weight shall be dropped from a height of 610mm onto the sample, striking the bar. No explosion, no fire 8.5 Crush Fully charged cell is to be crushed between two flat surfaces. The force for the crushing is to be applied by a hydraulic ram with a 1.25 inch (32 mm) diameter piston. The crushing is to be continued until a pressure reading of 2500 psig (17.2 MPa) is reached on the hydraulic ram, applied force of 3000 pounds (13kN).Once the maximum pressure has been obtained it is to be released. No explosion, no fire 8.6Low Pressure Fully charged cells are to be stored at an absolute pressure of 11.6 KPa and a temperature of 23± 2°C for 6 hours. Then the cells are examined. No explosion, no fire, no leakage 8.7 Reverse charge Fully charged cell is Charged with constant current 1C and voltage -10V. Cell remains on test for 8 hours and cell temperature flow is lower than 35?. No explosion, no fire 8.8 Shock Fully charged cell is to be secured to the testing machine by means of a rigid mount which supports all mounting surfaces of the cell. Each cell shall be subjected to a total of three shocks of equal magnitude. The shocks are to be applied in each of three mutually perpendicular directions unless it has only two axes of symmetry in which case only two directions shall be tested. Each shock is to be applied in a direction normal to the face of the cell. For each shock the cell is to be accelerated in such a manner that during The initial 3 milliseconds the minimum average acceleration is 75 g (where g is the local acceleration due to gravity). The peak acceleration shall be between 125 and 175g. Cells shall be tested at a temperature of 23 ± 2°C . Appearance Defects, such as scratches, flaws, dirty spots, rust, deformation, discoloration, leakage, etc., which damage commercial values shall not be presented. 10. Warranty period Warranty period of this product is 12 months from manufacture code, which the cell should be used in accordance with this specification 11. Required Protection Functions To insure the safety, charger and the protection circuit shall be satisfied following items. Warning, Notice and Caution Please read and follow the handling instructions for the cell before use. Improper use of the cell may cause heat, fire, rupture, damage or capacity deterioration of the cell. 1. Do not put the cell into a fire, or heat the cell, do not store the cell in high temperature environment. 2. Do not connect the cell reversed in positive (+) and negative (-) terminals in the charger or equipment. 3. Do not let the cell terminals (+ and -) contact a wire or any metal (like a metal necklace or a hairpin) with which it carried or stored together, may cause short-circuit. 4. Do not drive a nail in, hit with a hammer, or stamp on the cell, do not strike the cell other ways. 5. Do not disassemble or alter the cells' outside structure. 6. Do not submerge the cell in water, do not wet the cell when store the cell. Cells should be charged and discharged with proper charger, in compliance with correct operation contents. 1. Do not use the cell with other maker's cells, different types and /or models of cells such as dry cells, nickel-metal hydride cells, or nickel-cadmium cells, or new and old lithium cells together. 2.Do not leave the cell in a charger or equipment if it generates an older and/or heat, changes color and/or shape, leaks electrolyte, or cause any other abnormality. 3.Do not discharge the cell continuously when it is not charged 1. In case young children use the v, instruct them on the contents of the instructions and ensure the cell is correctly used by them at all times. 2. The cell was inspected carefully by QA before shipment to confirm with the specifications. However, in the case any abnormality of bad smell or heat, etc .arise after purchase, bring it and communicate with us. For long-term storage, please charge at 0.5C for about one hour in advance. 3. Do not use the cell in other than the following conditions, Otherwise the cell might cause heat generation, damage, or deterioration of its performance.
