The speed of large diesel engines must be kept within an ideal engine-specific range. Both excessive speeds and speeds which are too low must be measured and controlled reliably. Generator voltage must also be measured and controlled reliably. Together with an Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG), the DRS-CCI Digital Voltage Regulator and Speed Controller enables safe and seamless operation of the power plant in the event of loss of on-site power.
