Draka - Model G.652 Series - Single-Mode Fibres - Brochure
The most commonly used singlemode fibres. We offer 2 types of G.652 singlemode fibres: The Standard singlemode Fibre (SSMF) compliant with ITU-T Recommendation G.652, Table B). The Enhanced singlemode Fibre (ESMF) compliant with ITU-T Recommendation G.652, Table D). Both the SSMF and ESMF are part of the most deployed fibre type worldwide, and can be used in all cable constructions, including loose tube, tight buffered, ribbon, and central tube designs. The tighter geometrical, attenuation and PMD specifications of ESMF enable superior performance in long haul, metropolitan, access and premises applications for telecommunications, CATV and utility networks.
