It is among the industry leaders worldwide thanks to its 25 billion KWh generated from a well balanced energy mix inclusive of water, sun, wind and geothermal sources in 2012. This is enough to meet the energy needs of more than 10 million households and avoid the emission of over 18 million tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. The Company boasts an installed capacity of over 8,000 MW from a mix of sources including wind, solar, hydroelectric, geothermal and biomass. Currently, EGP has 700 operational plants throughout 16 countries in Europe and the Americas.
