EvapoDry Submerged Combustion Evaporator Systems How they operate…. The EvapoDry Water Evaporation System is designed to efficiently evaporate wastewaters and auger out the settled solids buildup from the evaporator tank bottom. A submerged burner tube fires below the solution level, which achieves 95% + energy efficiency. The hot gas contact with the liquid creates almost instantaneous vapor while the combustion gasses rapidly mix the liquid for even heat distribution. Thru extensive testing by Ecologix, we have proven sub-merged combustion can save as much as 25% in energy cost over serpentine tubes and hot plates. The uniqueness of the EvapoDry lies in the cylindrical design of the solution tank, with a cone bottom. A drain port affixed to the cone allows for easy removal of any solids build up which will settle in the cone. (see specifications table for drain port sizes) As an option, an inclined auger conveyor can be added to each model. The inclined conveyor extends upward above the evaporator solution level and deposits the sludge material into the owners drum or into a dewatering system. Turbulence in the evaporator tank prevents simultaneous evaporation and solids removal. The evaporator must be turned off for an appreciable period of time to allow for settlement prior to removal of solids from the evaporator tank. All wetted surfaces are 304 stainless steel 316” wall thickness on Models 15 – 1000. Ecologix has been diligently striving to seek a solution for those installations processing chlorides in the waste stream. We have developed and utilized our Corrosion Package, constructed of a high temperature fiberglass resin vessel, utilizing C2000 stainless steel sparger tubes or 316L stainless steel vessel with Inconel 625 tubes which offer superior resistance to chemical or chloride attack. Due that many factors affect the corrosion of the evaporator material. Ecologix offers only options on material selection and assumes no responsibility for any failure that can be attributed to corrosion. Oil skimmer is furnished as an option to remove off floating organics if necessary. The enclosed vessel has a 10-micron poly mesh mist eliminator to ensure that only vapor is released to the atmosphere.
