Setting up a medically-specialised wholesale trade in the year 1949 was based on thorough commercial and medical considerations rather than on a decision out of the blue. Gustav A. Renz commenced his trade company with a full product range of surgical instruments, which was assorted with great carefulness and the helping hand of local manufacturers. He was driven by the firm opinion that there would be no need for a second chance when providing a very positive first impression.

From the outset he was striving for building a brand name of well-accepted quality surpassing by far the established standards of quality. This was achieved by defining highest quality standards for all products to be integrated into his delivery programme. By doing so there was an ever growing customer acceptance which resulted in interpreting the acronym ‚RfQ’ as ‚Renz for Quality’.

Year by year the demand for surgical instruments and customised solutions was growing which led to the decision of Gustav Renz to start his own manufacture of surgical instruments. By running his own production he clearly put the focus on the design and manufacture of mostly very delicate

instruments. Over the years more and more domestic and foreign hospitals and private clinics learnt to appreciate the fine craftsmanship of surgical instruments ‚Made by RfQ’.

Today, looking back on a 70-year story of success the RfQ company is well-established in the medical field and willing to take on surgical challenges more than ever. In addition, the long history of the company going through good and rough times has allowed to gain all kinds of experience of immeasurable value.
This experience is the stock and fundament for being optimistic about mastering the future in terms of technical requests and financial obligations.
