For over 40 years Hitzer, which is the Swiss word for “heater”, has used Quality Amish craftsmanship to manufacture wood and coal stoves. Hitzer originated in 1975 in Adams County, Indiana, the center of rural farmland and heart of Amish country today. Hitzer began as a small blacksmith shop making wood and coal stoves for local Amish homes. These stoves were created to heat entire homes and large workshops. Hitzer became known as a local stove shop that made an outstanding heating product with family friendly service.

With quality products and compassionate service as the foundation of Hitzer Stoves, Hitzer has expanded to a leading coal and wood stove manufacturer. In 1981 with a successful product and faithful customers Hitzer expanded in size and productivity to a larger facility in Berne, Indiana, still located in the heart of Adams County.

In 1995, Hitzer product-line grew once again with the purchase of Heller-Aller windmill pumps. Hitzer is now the sole manufacturer of Heller-Aller deep-well pumps, shallow-well, hand pumps, as well as pitcher pumps. With the addition of the Heller-Aller pumps the Hitzer reputation of great products and outstanding service continues to grow.

Currently Hitzer continues to concentrate on exceptional Amish Craftsmanship featured in every Hitzer Stove and Heller-Aller pump. With over 40 years of heating experience, three generations of family business, and business foundations of quality products and caring service Hitzer is now a leading manufacturer in Alternative Heating today. Hitzer now has eleven different heating stoves including the very popular fireplace insert series, the first EZ-Flo Hopper designed series, and the Viesta Award Finalist 608 Energy Master I Stoker. Because of customer satisfaction with Hitzer products, exceptional service, and outstandingly warm and efficient heating stoves, the Hitzer name and dealer network has grown all across America and into Canada.
