The details make the boilerThe boilers vertical flue gas tubes are fitted with an automatic cleaning system that guarantees a consistently high boiler efficiency is maintained without the need for frequent shut downs or manual cleaning. This redu-ces both labour- and alternative fuel costs. Feature descriptionAn automatic ash discharge system is included in the boiler’s scope of delivery — this helps in reducing the human effort during the firing season even more. In order to augment the flexibility we offer two different control systems — one more basic, and another more comprehensive that controls the whole boiler process. The hydraulic, stepped grate automatically moves the fuel through the combustion chamber and discharges the ash in the internal ash auger that’s included in the standard delivery, another factor that minimises the manual efforts during the firing season. By keeping the fuel bed moving, the creation of cinder is kept at a low level. The boiler is controlled with a com-puterised system whose main task is to adjust the combustion according to the current load in order to maintain a constant water temperature. The computer receives a signal from the flow water temperature sensor and then regu-lates the negative pressure of the fur-nace, the grate movements and the fuel infeed. The combustion air will then be regulated by the furnace’s negative pressure. This is a simple and reliable method that also provides a constant regulation across the output range. It is a truly adaptive system that can also be operated and monitored remotely. Our control systems’ high accuracy results in low emissions, irrespective of the boiler load. On the display the controlled components are shown with clear, graphic images. Maintenance and cleaningThe PB2 is designed to require the minimum of maintenance: • The grate is built as one piece and is readily removed; • the controls has a comprehensive alarm system with direct, clear messaging; • the automatic cleaning system minimises manual cleaning during the heating season; • the result of the above is a boiler operating at peak efficiency constantly. Automatic cleaningThe boiler’s automatic turbulator cleaning system maintains the tubes clean and therefore the degree of efficiency high. Automatc ash handlingThe boiler is delivered with one ash auger and one dust auger. The control system manages the automatic discharge of ash and dust.Air controlThe air distribution is controlled with two dampers, one for primary air, and one for secondary air.
