Plate Heat ExchangersWritten by AdministratorFriday, 13 November 2009 05:39 - Last Updated Saturday, 14 November 2009 06:38{jathumbnail off} TTE provides to customers with economical heat transfer solutions and equipment unparralledin performance, quality and price. Working principle A plate and frame heat exchanger is a very efficient heat transfer device. Specially formedindividual plates, normally of 0.5/0.6mm thickness are assembled to form the TTE Plate andFrame Heat Exchangers "plate pack." A gasket, of suitable material, between the plates, sealsthe fluid and directs the flow. The end frames and heavy threaded rods compress the plate packto create a highly efficient heat transfer device. The fluid flows through ports located on theframe(s). The location of these ports is dependant on the particular flow characteristics requiredby the heat transfer application. 1 / 2Plate Heat ExchangersWritten by AdministratorFriday, 13 November 2009 05:39 - Last Updated Saturday, 14 November 2009 06:38 The most common plate heat exchanger type is where fluids pass through the heat exchangeronce. This is referred to as a single pass unit and in this instance all of the inlet and outlet portsare located on one of the end frames. When the application requires very close temperature differences between the fluids, amulti-pass heat exchanger may be required. Inlet and outlet connections can be located oneither of the end frames. 2 / 2
